Looking for the Endo girlies with digestion issues

Diagnosed a few yrs ago, had a massive cyst removed.

Since then I've tried multiple hormone therapies (birth control) and while it maybe helps the pain, I'm getting a whole whack of other symptoms: - Gained 25lbs after having consistent weight for ~10yrs - increased acne after mostly clear skin - extreme bloating and constipation - can't sleep through the night. - completely crash and have no energy by midday

Keep in mind that I had no issues with any of the above categories before my surgery/hormone treatments began.

My OB I was working with before moved, and I now have a new OB.

My new OB is taking a while to get up to speed here and seems a bit more... Old school. When I told him about the gastro problems (which my old OB specifically told me to watch for), he said he didn't think it was related and wanted to send me to get a colonoscopy. He also put me on a new birth control pill (Alesse).

Went for the colonoscopy, and now I'm being told to take metamucil and restoralax DAILY. This feels severe to me and like I keep just getting bandaid upon bandaid here.

Has anyone else has the above experience? Any light at the end of the tunnel?

Also I'm 34 so thinking about taking restoralax daily for what... The next 50 yrs???... seems absolutely ridiculous. Why can't we find an actual root cause instead of just adding a bandaid for each individual symptom.
