Could the players, considered the best, stack up in today’s baseball?

There’s always discussions about who’s the best player in certain positions. A lot of them come from eras long ago. With the evolution of the game, would those players (Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Jackie Robinson, etc.) last in today’s baseball?

FYI, I’m a casual, so, I’m genuinely curious.
